Cloudy Mountain is one of my all time favorite games and I was ecstatic when I stumbled upon your remake. I have enjoyed it thoroughly, but even on the very hardest difficulty, I find it to be way too easy. You can collect WAY too many arrows, without even trying to. I had over 50 arrows in my inventory and I wasn't even half way to the end mountain in the highest difficulty. I could just run into any room without a worry, since I had so many arrows. If you could not be able to find and award less arrows as the game gets more difficult, then that would help. Plus maybe add even higher difficulty levels than you currently have? But great game either way. Thanks.
Has the new version with "named map generation and some mob balance" been released? I ask, since as of this post, it still only shows version 1.2.1 from October 2025 as being able to download. Thanks.
WOW! This was a lot of fun. I actually got the crown on my first try as a "Weekend Adventurer".
I did want to ask if you could make the blob wander around the tunnels in search of the player. If I can get away from the blob it will just sit there. I think in the original game the blob did wander about and then would speed up slightly if you caught its attention.
Finally, you should think about expanding on this great remake. Perhaps add more monster types with some such as werewolves requiring silver arrows to kill. I better not start as I can come up with dozens of ideas and make this post pages worth of text. LOL! Anyhow, I'd love to see you expand on the original game and make this a Super Pro Murky Mountains.

Thanks for the feedback. We are working on a new build that fixes the blob behavior and allows rebinding of keys. Also adding achievements.
Will relook at the arrow spawning logic and difficulty balance.

Hi Wiffer,
This is a work in progress, we are adding a few more features to the project before we release. I should have made the clearer in the post.
Other things we adding are an optional hug for arrow count and a scoring system. Also in progress are some achievements.
Thanks for your interest. I will update the post to make sure thats more clear.
Damn my man.
That's Awesome.
Thank you very much for this game. Cloudy Mountain is actually the first game ever I played... And it feels absolutely right.
Thanks again buddy. I'm looking for an Intellivision to play it on his original console. But your game make my wait more manageable. lol
Thank you. It was really fun to make and rediscover the joy from the original.

Great job on this remake.
Thank you so glad you enjoyed playing it.
The blobs should be moving around when you not visible. I will recheck that code, perhaps there is an issue with the implementation.
Thanks so much for remaking this wonderful game from my childhood! One of the first games with procedurally generated maps, isn't it? And hit points.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. I had no idea so many people had loved this game too.
I think it was one of the first with both those things. At the very least the first I played with both.
Just played it again today and I recall that your adventurers didn't heal between caves. You might want to add that to Hard mode at least.
I was so young when I played this I don’t recall that detail.
I like the idea non the less so I think I will make that change. After all it’s the hard mode.
Hello published v 1.2.0 added the not healing to very hard mode. Also just thickened the water rendering to make rivers seam more substantial.
Wow, another Intellivision / Tom Loughry fan! Great work on this!
Tom Loughry’s work was inspired.
Nice one man... Needs moar arrows! >..<
